There has never been a better time for an Aboriginal person to be in business, thanks to opportunities created by the WA Aboriginal Procurement Policy (APP). The policy, which was launched in July 2018, saw more than four per cent of government contracts awarded to Aboriginal businesses in its first six months.
The Aboriginal Business Capability Building (ABCB) Program is a West Australian Government Department of Finance funded initiative that builds on the opportunities created by the APP to build the capacity of Aboriginal businesses in WA to grow, prosper, and tender for government work.
